The story of Kitty de la Vega is an interesting tale. Born into this world on October 31, 1994 to Marcus and Henrietta de la Vega in Dallas, Texas, Katrina Rosaline-Maria de la Vega proved from the start she was in fact, a fighter. Her father Marcus being a military man caused the family to move around a lot. Once he was out of the military, the family had settled in Shreveport, Louisiana when Kitty was 1. From an early age she was groomed to be a southern belle through and through. She was brought up in the Catholic church and always being taught the difference of right and wrong and how it could jeopardize her chances to going to heaven when the time came for her to meet St. Peter. Kitty was a charming child and was described as being 'fit for a prince'. The problem was Kitty didn't want to be a princess and married to a prince, she just wanted to play soccer in the park with the other kids. While other children were playing outside, she was put into etiquette classes instead. Kitty hated it and spent most of her time rebelling against her parents. Kitty was a tad different from the rest of the girls in her church with their pretty bows and dresses. Kitty was more of a tom-boy and was always pulling pranks and doing crazy things.

Kitty was not alone in pulling the crazy stunts. She found her sister from another mister, a homance to last a lifetime in little Lillian Lane. She was the girl next door and the two were inseparable. It wasn't very often that the two girls were seen apart. From sleepovers to partners in homework assignments, Lili and Kitty were together. In school, Kitty excelled in her classes but it was in music that she took a interest in. She loved the fact that so many actions and emotions could be conveyed through such a simple melody or how someone could step outside their comfort zone and make something poetic or absolutely terrible. She started taking violin, piano, and clarinet lessons. She proved to be a diligent student in her music lessons and continued onto the cello and oboe from there. In high school she was in the wind ensemble and in the choir. She also had a love of kids and wanted to teach them the ways of music.

When applying for colleges, Kitty was lost. In fact it wasn't until one day when Lili spoke up and said two words, New Orleans, that the two decided that Tulane University was for them. Kitty's parents were proud of her and said that whatever she needed, it was her and Lili's. Kitty decided to major in Early Childhood education with a minor in music. She's hoping to be the greatest music teacher ever. Nowadays you can find her gearing up for senior year and still living with Lili as she has since the day they arrived on Tulane campus.
