Respectful treatment of others is a must, no harassment of any kind.
No plagiarism
No OOC drama, keep it friendly. if you have an issue, bring it to the mods. that's why there's a dropbox.

Any breaking of these rules will result in warnings, if you reach 1, that's like a slap on the wrist, just don't do it again. Strike 2, you're removed from game and can reapply after a week. 3 strikes and you're removed from game and not welcome back. The only exception to this rule is the harrassment rule, doing so will lead to your immediate removal.
If you see something, say something. We want to cultivate an environment of excitement and fun, focusing on character development, and that's only possible if we are all in this together.
To respect your fellow players, if you're writing about a particularly heavy subject (violence, abuse, hard drugs, etc.), we strongly encourage you to use a trigger warning somewhere before the text. It's not a rule, but since we have received concerned comments, we want our members to feel comfortable with what they read on the friends list.

  • Wire screennames are completely optional but a great way to spice up your game.
  • Dropbox a few examples of your writing (ideally at least one narrative/entry and one thread)
    • If you have any questions as to whether your examples are substantial enough, we're happy to work with you before adds.

    Activity Checks

    We here at ~ropeshoot require a certain criteria in order to maintain membership to the community. Stated below are the criteria:

  • An update in your journal once a month, be it a paragraph or two kind of giving us some insight on how things are going.
  • A scene or thread that you drop in the dropbox. Make sure to give the journalnames in the subject so we can count it for all parties.
  • An up-to-date friends list at the end of each activity period.

    You may pick either the scene/thread or the update but the up-to-date friends list is a must! Please dropbox your posts by the end of each cycle for your activity to be counted! Our activity cycle starts on the first of each month; if you were added after the fifteenth of the month, you are grandfathered into the following month's activity cycle.

    Character Limits

    Currently the chracter limit as of right now is 3 characters per player. If you are able to handle more and prove you can by keeping all your characters up to date, you will be permitted to have additional characters. If you cannot keep up, we will remove the newest character and give you time to adapt before letting the character back in.

    Pregnancies & Marriages

    We know that pregnancies and marriages happen in life, as well as divorces and losing a baby. We ask that you please play these out realistically. Do your research. If there is an influx where almost everyone is getting pregnant, we will have to instate a mod-approved pregnancy list.
